The ship transporting Blake to prison for crimes he didn’t commit, happened upon the Liberator alien spacecraft, abandoned & damaged from a previous battle.
Equipped with powerful weapons, force field protection & an array of ‘battle computers’ it was originally built by a super race of beings known as ‘The System’.
An advanced computer called ‘Zen’, (who, murdered it’s previous crew) controls the Liberator. Zen set about repairing the ship before Blake & the rest of the convicts take over.
