‘VADA A BORDO’ MS 'Costa Concordia'

Regular price £ 16.00 Sale

On 13 January 2012 in calm seas, under the command of the infamous playboy Captain Francesco "tonight we are in big trouble" Schettino, Costa Concordia struck a rock off the western coast of Italy.

The gallant Schettino steered the giant cruise ship too close to the island of Giglio performing a sail-by ‘salute’ to a retired ship Captain's daughter.

The resulting 164ft gash in her hull immediately flooded the engine room causing total power loss.

Despite the gradual sinking of the ship & its proximity to shore in calm seas, the order to abandon ship was not issued until it was too late, only at the last minute did the crew tell everyone to run for their lives.

Captain Schettino 'accidentally tripped' into a lifeboat while terrified holidaymakers remained on board the doomed vessel.

MAX MUMBLES says: “Vada A Bordo, Cazzo! Which translates to ‘get on board, dick'”.
